About the provider

My name is Aimee Nester. I started taking early childhood classes in 1996, shortly after my daughter was born. After working in accredited child care centers for about 4 years, I found I had a natural gift with children.

My goal is to help children become self competent and confident. I work to provide stimulating and relevant activities which will prepare them for their next phases of development.

I utilize the “Beanstalk” USDA food program, which means that children will receive well balanced meals and snacks; A hot lunch and two snacks every day which must include the major food groups essential to growing healthy minds and bodies.

I also work through Child Action Inc. with a mentor who has been in this field for 20+ years. I attend Child Action sponsored classes, as well as early childhood education classes through Sacramento City College.

Currently I have over 40 Early Childhood units and am working toward a BA in Child Development. The following are the Early Childhood classes I have completed:

1. Lifespan

2. Family, Child and commununity

3. Child Develpment

4. Introduction to Early Childhood

5.  Health and Safety in Early Childhood Settings

6.  Advanced Preschool Principles and Practices

7.  Cultural Diversity in Early Childhood Settings

8.  Work Experience in Early Childhood Settings
