Developmentally Appropriate Daily Schedule for Family Child Care:

7am-10am Greetings/Diapers/Snack/Indoor Activities

10am-12 *Outdoor Discovery/Diapers

12-1pm Wash hands/Eat Lunch

1pm-2:30pm Tooth Brushing/Rest time

2:30-3pm Diapers/Buggy Ride

3:00-5:00pm Wash Hands/Snack/Outdoor Discovery

5:00-6:00pm **Quiet Inside Activities/Goodbyes

*Outdoor Discovery: This can include sand and water play, making play dough, insect exploration, animal care and exploration, fun on equipment/climbers/trikes, easel painting, arts and crafts, pretend, dress-up and kitchen play, board games, sand box play, sensory table, parachute games, books, bean bag toss and many other science and gross/fine motor activities.

**Inside Quiet Activities: These activities would include pretend play (dress-up, dr.’s kits, etc.), clay and play dough, doll house, builders (legos, blocks, cars w/track, etc.), marble works, library books in the “cozy corner,” circle time activities (songs, teacher reading to children, finger plays, etc.), and much more.
